JOY to the “WORLD” Dollar Tree Christmas Ornament Craft

FREE JOY to the World Printable Gift Tag

Here’s a super easy and fun Christmas craft that your littles can do with your help. It’s a great little gift for family and teachers and also encourages their understanding of the first Christmas miracle.

Supplies You’ll Need

• Dollar Tree Plastic Ornament
• Blue, Green and White Non-Toxic Kid’s Paint
• My FREE Green JOY to the World Printable Gift Tag
• Scissors – Kid’s Scissors or Adult Scissors Depending on Who is Doing the Cutting
• Access to a Printer
• Paper for Printing – Preferably Cardstock
• Twine &/or ribbon of your choice
• Hole Punch
• Paint brush

Let’s Get to Work

Throughout the project, you can discuss with your child how Jesus came to earth to live with us and how that was the miracle that gave us Christmas.

First, have your child swirl the ornament in the green and blue paint to look like the earth. It should look like a marble. Allow to dry.

Next, have your child paint the top of the ornament white along with a few swirls over the green and blue paint to symbolize clouds and allow to dry.

While the white paint is drying, print & cut my FREE JOY to the World Printable Gift Tags.

Once the ornament is dry, tie a ribbon at the top. Hole punch and thread twine for gift tag and as ornament hanger. Have your child sign and date the gift tag on the back! Your recipient can choose to remove the tag or leave it on to hang.
