Easy Pretend Felt Play Food Project with Cricut Maker
Play food comes in all varieties: plastic, wood and felt. Personally, my favorite has got to be felt. Today I’m sharing a super easy felt play food project you can make using your Cricut Maker.
All you will need for this project:
- Basic felt by Creatology: Copper Canyon, red, Goldenrod, yellow, antique white, & basic white felt
- Embroidery floss
- Large needle
- Batting for the pancake/crust and egg filling
- Cricut Maker
- FabricGrip Cutting Mat
- Rotary Blade
- Very basic hand sewing knowledge (I literally just know to tie a knot and go back and forth through the fabric.)
Note: Set your maker to cut Felt, Acrylic Fabric

Next, use your Cricut Maker and to cut your felt using my shared project.
Once all the pieces are cut, it’s time to get sewing and stuffing.
Trust me, I am no expert at sewing. If you are, more power to you! I wish I had your talent!
For this project, I used a simple hand stitch. It looks a little messy but I personally think that makes it more fun.
For the pancake/pizza crust and and egg you will want to leave extra space for stuffing with filler prior to completely stitching together. The rest of the pieces I just doubled up and stitched together without filler.
And that’s THAT! YOU DID IT! Now share with your kiddos and enjoy hours of imaginative fun!
